A ten minute walk takes you onto the newly developed Quayside where the great tall ships once moored to load for trade with the Baltic. The huge Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art stands alongside Sir Norman Foster’s fantastic concert hall, The Sage, with acoustics comparable with any in the world. Trips down the Tyne take you toTynemouth and the famous Priory not to mention a great little market at the station.
Upstream (though not by boat) takes you to some of the best salmon fishing in the country and only an hours drive brings you out into some of the most spectacular and unspoilt wild scenery anywhere in Britain, in the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Hadrian’s Wall and its forts and museum is within easy reach as is the vast expanse of the Northumberland coastline, tiny fishing villages,
The Farne Islands, seals and seagulls.

Newcastle itself has long lost its connection with coal and is now one of the most sort-after visitor-cities in the UK. The Theatre Royal and Northern Stage host many national and international theatre, dance and opera companies including the RSC; and Live Theatre is in the forefront of new writing and innovative theatre.
As well as Newcastle’s vibrant club and music scene don’t forget Dance City, Chinatown, the Parks and the Town Moor, as well as the Tyneside Cinema, the famous café 21 and the shopping in Eldon Square and at The Metro Centre!

Oh dear god, where do I begin... - the mere sincerity of Fluff, and Jo to create a lovely place got artists and vactioners to come and hang, relax and rest was heart warming.
