Comedy from ELIOTT SIMPSON

BLESSING MPOFU is a dancer, rapper and artist living in Byker. They’ve been doing music for 4 years and dance for 9 years under the performance name luv.

ANNE GILL helped found the Second City Poets, a Birmingham based collective whose show, Playground, was commissioned for the Verve Poetry Festival. She has performed at events in the UK and abroad, and was a part of the University of Birmingham’s winning UniSlam team in 2018. Her work has appeared in print in various places including Strix, Ink Sweat and Tears, and anthology, The Dizziness of Freedom. She is a submissions reader for Bare Fiction, and was shortlisted for the 2018 Outspoken Prize for Poetry. Her first pamphlet, Raft, was published in April with Bad Betty Press

ELIOTT SIMPSON, the eccentric asexual expat has been doing stand-up for over 3 years, having gigged all across the world from the UK to the USA! Described as “both accessible and absurd”, Simpson is ripe with surreal one-liners, absurd musings and witty wordplay. With wacky props and humorous explorations of sexuality, Simpson is definitely one of the most peculiar and unique acts on the circuit!

STEVE URWIN is a diarist, ranter, freelance creative writing facilitator and multiple poetry slam winner from Consett, County Durham. His books include Tightrope Walker, Hypomaniac*, Shades Of Grey*, So Much for the Sunshine and Laughter To Split Glass*. Steve runs the publishing imprint Talking Pen and hosts Poetry Jam in Durham.
