EW #28: Blown Out, Blòm & Mother Night

Friday 12th January 2018

Blasting straight into 2018, Endless Window is bringing you a truly interstellar night to kick-start the year upstairs at The Cumberland Arms, featuring…

Putting the power firmly back into the power trio, Newcastle psych overlords Blown Out have proven their worth as one of the most exciting live and recording acts out there today, performing across Europe and releasing a slew of essential releases on the venerable Riot Season Records. Led by Mike Vest (also of Bong, Haikai No Ku, 11Paranoias, Melting Hand, Lush Worker and many more projects) with the peerless rhythm section of John-Michael Hedley and Matthew Baty (also of Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, Khuunt and Richard Dawson’s live band), we’re delighted to be bringing Blown Out to Endless Window for this rare headline set.

One of the most mysterious but exciting new bands in the region, Blòm describe themselves simply as “three cute punx playing pua radge shit.” Having delighted at a recent support slot with Lower Slaughter, make sure you catch this essential new act now before everyone else gets in on the action.

Mother Night
Hailing from the Outer Hebrides but recently relocated to Tyneside, Mother Night makes sharp and surreal dance pop with a pagan edge. With an upcoming album and new live set in the works, prepare to fall under the spell of Mother Night.

Plus the Endless Window DJ after the live acts. £5 on the door, 7:30pm until late.
