“A hugely talented lass” – Mike Harding
Featuring fiddle, mandolin and guitar, The Georgia Shackleton Trio performs a blend of Americana, folk and self-penned tunes and ‘wordy songs about other people’. Whilst instrumentally influenced by British, American and Scandinavian folk traditions, Georgia blends these with a distinctive regional twist from her native East Anglia. The trio sees her teaming up with guitar powerhouse Aaren Bennett and mandolin ace Nic Zuppardi.
2016 saw GST performing main stage slots at Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Towersey Folk Festival, and Folk East, as well as performing throughout Broadstairs Folk Week amongst many others.
2012 Danny Kyle Award winner Ben Church is an exciting and unique performer who has been receiving phenomenal reactions to his percussive guitar style and soaring voice. As a soloist he has performed at various venues and festivals around the UK, including the prestigious Sage Gateshead and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. A BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award semi-finalist at 17, Ben Church has since released a long awaited debut CD ‘My Lot,’ spotlighting his distinctive twist on traditional material as well as superb original songs and covers.
