Congratulations! Great news. It'll be worth the hard work.
And I hear you were highlighted on Radio 4 a few weeks ago as well! Does anyone have a copy of the recording?

Hello everyone . . . .
A wonderful thing happened today. After all their hard work Michael (licencee) and Jo (general manager) recieved notification that planning permision has been granted for the proposed new build!!
Also licencing conditions have been agreed which are workable!!!
Thankyou to you all for your generous words and signatures of support through this long process.
Here's lookin forward to the future of The Cumberland . . . .
Take care,
Charlotte

As I sit in an office, facing away from the window which just looks down onto grey granite buildings I feel hundreds of miles away from the cumberland arms. My little soul weeps for the place as I am temping as a receptionist and want to be the cheery barlady again at your place. Thanks for a wonderful summer working with you, I will be back... Your pub is the best little place in the best little corner, with the best type of people anyone could wish for.. Keep it up xxxxx
